There are many variations of curry in Malaysia: Indian, Chinese (Nyonya) and Malay but Malay curry with potatoes, commonly chicken curry (Kari Ayam) is possibly the most common chicken curry in Malaysia. Everywhere you go where curries are served, you will probably find this type of chicken curry.

The meat is cooked in an aromatic blend of herbs and spices then simmered in coconut milk flavoured with tamarind, whole spices, and curry leaves. Serve with steam rice, Malaysian lacey pancake or roti canai. A very flavourful dish.
